Apply probability distributions in solving problems – Michelle Dalrymple
Dr Michelle Dalrymple (Cashmere High School) shared her key teaching activities for Curriculum Level eight (NCEA Level 3) Probability Distributions, including tasks to introduce binomial and Poisson distributions, sampling variation linked to distributions, Fergusson’s framework for statistical modelling, and quick starter activities to reinforce students’ learning.
Participants had an opportunity to meet the almost-famous Distribution Plushies!
